if running winmx under linux using wine.
1. su to root. 2. cd /etc 3. cp ./hosts ./hosts.old 4. rm ./hosts 5. cp the mxpie hosts file to /etc 6. using your editor of choice, open /etc/hosts and change the line that reads "127.0.0.1 localhost" to "127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain" 7. save the file 8. close the root shell window 9. start winmx 10. Enjoy  |
