Installed Patch: MXPie Patch

Type of WinMX Connection: Primary

Installed PG2: No

Added WinMX Lists: No

Problem: I wanted to know how someone is able to find out my real name or IP Address while downloading a file. Will installing PeerGuardian 2 prevent this from happening in the future?

Hi Roy

All Primary uers must run Peerguardian reguardless that is does not hide your ip here is a tutorial to install it:

As to your name if you have your name on your computer it will show in the browse if you use "show full path" button. as to your ip the who-is at the top is bascally your ip in a form there is a program that can unscramble this hash.
