Problem: I am having problems with...
I recently aquired a router and a new computer, and am planning on using both computers on the same cable hook up. The old computer, on which I plan to continue to run WinMx, is a '03 Dell, running Windows XP; the new computer, an Acer, uses Vista. I am able to download files, but no one is able to download from me - their connections keep timing out. I tried all seven suggested steps found in the help files for this topic, but have not resolved the problem. Step 7 suggests that if the preceeding 6 steps have not resolved the problem, I may have an ISP who blocks ports or filters out peer to peer traffic. However, I don't think this is the case, because I have not changed ISP's, and previously ran WinMx with no problems on my internet connection with ComCast. Are there any other possible ways to solve this?

Comcast usually does not block anything but you must forward both the TCP and UDP ports winmx uses through your router to your internal ip the 192.168.?.? one not the default gateway.
