I cannot connect to WinMx since December 25, 2009. I did not change anything on my configuration.

Is anybody aware if the WinMX network is still working?

I have pie patch version 3.6. In addition I use Peerblock 1.0 and COMODO Firewall.

It used to work fine with winmx 3.31. Unfortunately it also seems that utorrent stopped downloading.

I followed your tutorial step by step and I have all the settings as described.

Is there anything else I can check?

Are you running Primary or Secondary? If Primary at the top of winmx are some letters with numbers after (P=? S=? SPM-?) what numbers do you see?

If not Primary set TCP and UDP to Unable to Receive and restart winmx this setting should by-pass andy firewall issues which is what I think you are haveing.

I use a run secondary with unable to receive setting.

In the meantime I tried out on another workstation without any security settings and I have the same problem there.

Now I can only imagine that blocking or filtering is happening on the WAN for specific adresses. It's hardly to believe as normal access and download from web sites works perfectly.

Is this at work?? How many computers are connected to your system at the same time?

Your ISP could be blocking suspected p2p traffic many do. What ISP are you useing?

I finally found out the matter. It is my ZyXEL P-660HW-D1 DSL modem that seems to lose or reject packets.

I organised a simple modem without firewall and everything works again.

What I cannot understand is why my old modem is not working correctly anymore. I have been using it for more than 2 years now without changing anything on its configuration. Maybe somthing on the network has changed and the modem needs a specific change in its configuration. Have you ever heard of similar problems?
