Winmx will work with one port for both but its better to create two ports in your portforwarding of your router.
We also don't recomend any other patch but ours. The other patches use upnp to force open the ports, that is not a good way of doing this. This could be causing your problems especally if you allready forwarded that port. Primary users must run Peerguardian.
