Quoted from Bluetack.co.uk in regards to the Level1 list (same list as p2p):

Quote:
This list blocks known anti-p2p companies.
It contains p2p trackers like Mediasentry, Mediaforce, and known fake p2p file sources from companies like Overpeer. The list also contains all known Government - Military - Science - Research Labs and Bad Education facilities IP addresses collected by the Bluetack Team. Basically this list will block all kinds of internet connections that most people would rather not have during their internet travels.

No method of filtering/blocking is perfect. "Innocent" people do sometimes end up with an IP listed in one of the blocked ranges. However with PG2 you can watch in real-time every IP that is blocked and if you want to allow a specifc IP or range of IP addresses you can simply right click and add them to your permanent allow list. Using the p2p list with PG2 gives you both the knowledge that you are blocking the known flooders/trackers and also the flexiblity of allowing those you choose to trust.

Excerpt from bluetack.co.uk

We have again lost the ability to use the Temp server that we were using to upload the level1.gz and the splist.zip and the psplist.gz. We are now going to try out the Coral cache system (The Coral Content Distribution Network) as -AJ- suggested to see how that will work with our lists, please do not abuse the system.
For more informatino on this you can look here.
http://wiki.coralcdn.org/wiki.php?n=Main.FAQ

The list on coral cache are level1.gz (same list as p2p list) http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/level1.gz and
http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/psplist.zip or http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/splist.zip

The rest of the lists can be downloaded off the servers we have.

Edit from bluetack: We are trying a suggestion to use coral cache for the lists that use the big bw. If you are using the EDU list and are using pg2 you may have to allow ip's from various edu's to get your lists, they will show up on port 8080

Comment from Ome, you should also check if Peerguardian is allowed to use the ports needed(delete from firewall and restart PG2 to set new rules).
